EGX

East Generation X.

Built in the ends, with my best friend.

The mission

Rebranding East London. One man at a time.

Too British for the Asians. Too Asian for the British. Too religious for the mandem. Too street for the mosque. I live in the in-between, and EGX came out of it.

Street energy isn't the problem. It's an asset that needs redirecting.

Started as outdoor sessions. Grew to forty a session, a hundred behind it. A culture, not a class.

The show

We gamified it and built a show out of the road.

Cameras to the kids who wanted to learn. A championship belt to gamify it. The whole thing became a series. One of those kids used the footage to land his dream job in film.

What the movement has done

Strength, mindset, community. Not theory — the boys' own words.

“I've definitely noticed my actual strength increase. Pull ups, press ups and dips have become so much easier and now I feel extremely proud when I look at myself in the mirror. Muscles more toned and defined.” — Aydin

“Since joining the cali sessions, I've noticed significant improvements in my strength, endurance, and overall physique. My mindset and discipline have also got stronger thanks to consistent training and the support from the big bros, KnK.” — Megdad

“Cali sessions with EGX have honestly been a game changer. Physically I'm in way better shape than 4 months ago — muscles and abs are more defined, clothes fit different, and even my uncles who used to say I was too skinny are now asking how I did it. Mentally, I feel the strongest and most confident I've ever been. The community is something else — every week we've got new and familiar faces, all grinding, no excuses.” — 267Kitchen

“I remember when I first came to a cali session I could barely even do one dip. Now it feels like I'm getting stronger every single week with consistency. Today I hit ten. I feel them, I see them, and I'm actually proud of myself.” — Yaseen

“Calisthenics is amazing for building bodyweight strength. I went from barely doing 10 press ups to 15 pull ups in months. It's widely accessible and free to start, and it clears your mental health with natural dopamine from training.” — Jay

Where it goes

EGX is the heart of it. The proof the model works on real people in a real place. Direction is the same philosophy, sharpened for men who already made it out.
